68B Cab chrome door garnish tube bolts?

Hi,

These are the tube bolts for the window front door chrome on a 68B. I re-chromed the molding garnish.

I have 4 long tubes and one shorter one. I think I need to have all 6 of these, but did not know if all the same size or not. If different where does the smaller one go? I only have half the other end screws in chrome, and I think the tabs on the garnishes are bent to hold, but not sure.

Any advice on what is right and if you have a few of the tubes or bolt ends so I can install these, please let me know.

I have been informed by a forum member that my front window garnish should be woodgrain. Oh well, I chromed mine because it was rusty chrome to start and was probably original metal.

I also found 3/8 long tube bolts and screws like the one short one pictured. However, I do not know what is right. I have 4 tube bolts 1/2 inch long and one 3/8 inch long. I just ordered 10 of the 3/8 long versions from AZ A"s. I need 6 total depending on what size is right.

But not sure if Cab in mid 1930 is same as A400 on these tube bolts.

you have the wrong tube nuts, look under hardware in Snyder`s, they are #6 counter sunk tube nuts, the slant window bodies use #8 tube nuts. all the nuts are the same length it is the screws that are different.

Is there supposed to be a thin piece of felt glued into the side of the front window molding U shaped channel shown in my middle picture? Mine had some type of felt, but not seeing it on pictures?

no felt, but on the early 68A`s some had a wood insert on the back side. your should not have anything but the wind lace.
