I've had a question regarding what we'd charge to rebuild one of these units. Unfortunately, because I don't have enough posts yet to private message the question and I'm still figuring out how to navigate the forums, I'd like to let folks know that pricing depends on what parts need to be replaced. The most common parts are the two angel wing gears. But to thoroughly look a unit over requires drilling out the rivets. This also allows us to freely see the crankshaft and to grease the unit well upon reassembly.
With that being said, we replace the rivets with custom machined button pins and e-clip which allows for future easy accessibility if necessary.
A split retaining ring then is used to secure the crankshaft in place.
$225.00 would cover the angel wings, button pins and e-clips, and the split retaining ring for the crankshaft.
As mentioned previously some folks would like a complete rebuild and that would be $400.00 plus shipping is $8.80 without insurance.
I apologize in advance for the length of this post.
