Straw pinstripe paint source?
I need to pinstripe my '30 tudor...chicle & copra drab with a "straw" stripe. The standard 1-shot paint colors look too yellow in the on-line chips I've seen. I'm not sure if I can get my pinstriper to mix up something that looks pale yellow. I've looked at another pinstripe/lettering paint brand and they have a few colors that look closer to a pale yellow, but I'm having to look at on-line chips that could be way off.
Is there a ready source for the "straw" pinstripe shade? Thanks |

Re: Straw pinstripe paint source?
I've been striping for over 50 years. I'd stick with the One-Shot and if it's too yellow, try some ivory in it. It has been the pinstripers paint of choice for many decades. If you want more gloss and a harder paint, add about 15% automotive hardener to the one-shot. Most stripers don't know that it will mix, but it does. Shortens the workable life of the paint however. THIS WORKS.........Good Luck

I mix a little white one shot with the yellow until it comes close to the color chip and save that mix in a small bottle marked "straw".

Re: Straw pinstripe paint source?
I will agree with the others,,one shot is the way to go and most stripper don't mind mixing a little for a test pull,,HRP
