Default '36 Wind-wing, Logo location?

Question: What location is the 'Glass Identification Logo,' or 'Bug,' for the wind-wing on a 35-36 Phaeton/Roadster?

These two photos show the logo in two different locations. The B/W photo has it on the lower rear edge. That photo is from the V8 Restoration book. The color photo shows it on the forward lower edge and is a photo we've collected from an unknown location.

One of our FordBarn friends, says his car has it as on the color photo, above the lower bracket attachment.

Since this is a 'no turning back' operation, we thought we'd ask for comments first.

It is possible that the glass is sent down the line in one position. Therefore the "bug' is etched in the same spot regardless of the left or right. It looks like the glass is the same shape left or right. Is the "bug' readable the same from the outside? Or is it reversed?

Hi Toby, Thanks for helping. Roy Nacewicz, who sells the etching kits, explained it as you describe. To paraphrase: Engineering drawings for side glass are shown from the right side of the vehicle. When two pieces of the same shaped glass are used, as in the wind-wings that we're interested in, one is readable from the inside (driver) and one from the outside (pass).

Our main question is about the location of the logo.

Hi All, We've heard from Don Rogers that the first photo is the way to go.
