Engine number
Any Idea what supplier may have used a "F" index in the engine number ? The number is #F7176040. The last four digits..6040 are not stamped near as deep as F717. Wondering if the last four could be part of the original number ? Of course there are no stars at ether end of the number. I know the number is stamped on top of the frame but I don't plan on taking the old girl down that far for quite a while. Not a big deal i guess, just wondering.

Re: Engine number
My thoughts are the number is a stamping by the shop that rebuilt the engine in the past.
