Default V8-60 thermostats

Are there modern alternatives to the 60 tstats which I believe were bellows type. I ask because the modern equivalent for a V8 90-100 is the Stant 14157, a 28MM tstat originaly for a '70's Subaru. Its 170 degrees and fits like a glove on the top of the head water outlet, plus it's made in the USA. A possible drawback to the 14157 is that appears to be stainless steel, which is a substantially dissimilar metal, and could cause cooling system electrolysis without using something the NoRosion in the system.

I may be wrong but isn't stainless immune from electrolysis? I have read several threads regarding T-stats here. I've heard that modern t-stats are more restrictive. I found a set of NOS "snail spring" T-stats on ebay...tested them on the stove and they seem to work well in the car.

What I was referring to is actually galvanic corrosion between two dissimilar metals. The least noble, in this case is an aluminum cylinder head water outlet, and the more noble is the stainless steel thermostat. That's why you need a corrosion inhibiter like NoRoison.
