Default Can Anyone Identify the Heater Needed for This Manifold?

I have a split waffle style manifold but not the heater cover. The mounting bolts are a lot farther apart than the 7" on the commonly available Autolite part (they roughly align with the #1 and #4 spark plugs). Does anyone recognize this and know what brand it is? I'd like to put heat in my car.

That looks like an Autolite heater manifold that someone has modified for easier distributor access.

That would be a heater called "Director".

It looks to me that it is a Autolite heater that has been modified, However, from what i see, the hole in your firewall is located for a Otwell manifold heater. That is what I would look for as the Autolite would require cutting a new hole in your firewall. Disadvantage to the Otwell is that you can't remove the cover for summer driving...
Hope this helps answer your question..

I have seen this style before but don't know the name. It might be a Director but I have a Director Special but it is solid and doesn't have a removable top. But then again it might be a different model. I also agree that you will have to find a different one to use or create a different opening.

Thanks everyone for replying so far! The manifold definitely isn't modified. The split between the two waffle portions is cast that way. The top is supposed to bolt on with two fasteners that are probably 12-18" apart. I've seen these manifolds for sale before but never one with the heater cover.

I may be in for fabricating something on my own or just replacing it with a more common manifold/heater assembly.

The lip at the rear for the common Autolite is rounded, this one is square.I have one something like this one,but it is a little different.Mine is marked Director number 9,or number 7.It is marked on the cover.I'm actually getting a bunch of Model A heaters together,I always bought them when I found them.Never really had a use for one,so I will be getting pictures to peddle them off.

Keith,
If and when you have any pictures please let me know. The attachment bolts are 10-3/8" apart on my manifold. Thank you.
