AV8 out of the garage!
Finally, my pile of parts moves under it's own power! My wife never thought it would happen. When you build something from just parts you gather up, it gives you good feeling when things come together. I have a long way to go to finish it, but this was a big step.

Re: AV8 out of the garage!
There's just something SO RIGHT about a full-fendered A-Bone coupe with a flathead in it. Sure do like the way that one sits. DD

Re: AV8 out of the garage!
Very nice, great stance! Always good to see a car that wasn't put together with parts from 1-800-chk-book.

Re: AV8 out of the garage!
Thanks to all for the nice comments on this project. I can tell you one thing for sure, is that I am glad we have such a great wealth of knowledge here on the Fordbarn! Anytime I needed help with these old Ford parts, I got most of answers right here, from members that were more than willing to help you.
Bob Mike, It's not quite ready for a test drive down the road yet, but it's not short on power for what little I have driven it around the back forty. It steers, stops well, clutch is smooth, what more could you ask for. Last edited by Bob/Ohio; 09-01-2016 at 07:53 PM. |

Re: AV8 out of the garage!
Getting something going again is a great feeling, looks great. Ford Barn has helped me with the 39 as well, It was nice to drive it up to Gardiner today for a road trip to see the "Flathead King" after 5 plus years of getting my parts together.

Like Johnny Cash, one piece at a time (ford), great job. You need a bumper sticker I have seen, "Not bought, Built" !!!!!

Re: AV8 out of the garage!
Great looking car!
How about a close up of the mill? With a brief spec sheet. |
