Default 40-41 Pickup Front Bumper Braces

Are the braces mounted inside the frame, outside or is the frame sandwiched? Thanks.

Hello, old relics. First time contributor.... My 41 is sandwiched and the rear is outside. My truck is pretty original and I don't believe it has ever been apart/crashed etc.

Here you go just a few quick pics....it has been in a dry garage since the early 60s in North Dakota had it shipped to MA at the end of last summer. It had the 4 cylinder which I have in storage. I bought a running 46 59ab off of Craig's list for $500 it smokes a bit and has plenty of blowby but runs great. I don't have great big plans for it I just want to drive it as is! Note the regular plates. My theme is: Reliable nostalgia. Most people get it when I drive around town but some people just feel bad for me!
Enjoy, Jesse

The front brackets are on the out side of the frame on the truck in the avatar. It is documented as a '41 but I am certain it's a Heinz 57. It's trimmed out as a '40.

The front braces sandwich the frame.

Thank you Kube. I will fix that when I replace the rubber grommets. The fit did not look right.
