Default put on the dynamo without damage

hi guys ...on my 39 I,v put on the dynamo with lots of care without damaging the tubes or surrounding painted bits ,I can remember reading in the v8 times a system or trick to make it easy i cant remember how it was done, it has probably been covered in the barn,be handy to know this for future reference , thanks jim.

its the tightening of the belt that I need advice on ,thanks

wow how clever is that ...I,v printed it off and when I,v got some spare time (a big when)I,ll have a go at that ,many thanks ...cheers , jim.

That's a neat little tool! Can't use it on my '38, though because of the coil.
I use a tire iron to lever against a small block of wood.
