Brakes and Reaction Time
Part of braking is how quickly you can react to an emergency.
Try this fun reaction time test. https://www.justpark.com/creative/reaction-time-test/ |

Re: Brakes and Reaction Time
Also reactions for less than half my age. Seems lots of us are scoring well. Gotta be concerned for those who do not drive a Model A.

Re: Brakes and Reaction Time
Probably should put your keyboard on the floor and do the test with your foot.

Re: Brakes and Reaction Time
I tried it 4 times in a row when I got the email, and got better with each try. On the last try I also got the comment about being human. 606, 387, 332, and 107 milliseconds.
I tried it once more today and was back to 32 years old. |

What Art said. When I was in Driver's Ed (back in the last Century ), there was a "brake reaction time" tester in the classroom: There was an angled box on the floor, that had a gas pedal and a brake pedal on it. It was connected to a control panel that the instructor had. We were to have our right foot on the gas pedal, as though driving, and when the instructor said "go!" ( or something like that ), we were to take our right foot off the gas and hit the brake pedal. The control panel had a timer that would show the elapsed time between releasing the gas pedal and hitting the brake. I do not remember my score, but it was an interesting exercise. |
