Convertible top missing a couple pieces
The top of my 31 roadster is missing a couple of the window pieces. Can they be purchased individually somewhere?

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
I’m missing the left rear side curtain and the left filler piece that goes over the left door. I also don’t have the cover boot for when it’s down.

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
Classtique didn’t want to get involved in making a couple pieces but said he’d sell me the material and fasteners.

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
If you have a curtain or filler from one side, it can be used as a pattern for the other. Any good upholstery shop could make the stuff up using Haartz Stay Fast that matches your top. The clear vinyl is fairly universal if needed for a curtain. The snaps are available from several sources.

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
Hello again, remember there’s a flap for your arm for hand signals on Driver side I remind me I can send pictures and measurements of mine, if it’s a 30-31 Deluxe roadster.

Your profile doesn't say where you are located but if you are in a coastal area there should be a shop in your area that makes, sails, tops, side panels etc. for boats. If so, they would have the right equipment to make one and also be able to supply the clear vinyl and maybe the correct snaps.

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
I forgot your car is a standard, but the distance from from the flap to the top of door might be the same, side curtains would match the top that was black grain ,but I think the top boot was a tan canvas, not sure if the same boot was used on both models.

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
Thanks everyone for the help. I have the right rear side curtain so it makes sense to use that to make a mirror image for the left side. I have both main door panels but need the little filler piece for over the left one, again I’ll use the one I have as a pattern.
The fasteners are different and very specific, is there a good site with good pictures of them so I know what to order? |

Re: Convertible top missing a couple pieces
The Cinch, Dot, and other top fasteners are available from several of the model A parts sources. Each type of fastener requires it's own tooling to properly install. There are u-tube videos on installing some of these snap type fasteners into fabric top material. Model A open type cars generally all use the same type fasteners with some exceptions.
