Default Noisey tachometer cable

I have a buzzing sound I think is coming from my speedometer cable in the armored housing. Any thoughts about a cure for this?

Where do you get a mechanically driven tach? What drives it?

If lubricating the cable doesn't cure it, most likely it is in the speedometer itself.

If it is the speedometer what is the most likely problem?
