Another period torque wrench
While reading the old torque wrench thread a couple of weeks ago,the one in the pictures looked kind of familiar.when I got in my Tudor today I found this one on the floor,I kind of forgot I had thrown it there for safekeeping about 10 years ago.It is a Sunnen model PN 50.I really don't know just what vintage it would be.I was given this with a bunch of tools by a man that bought them all new.

Wow Keith. And you even got the box and the paperwork. That's a keeper. I have been looking at these on ebay. Do I need one? Not really, but I just like old tools.

Re: Another period torque wrench
Attached is the patent drawing from the person who in 1918 supposedly invented the torque wrench. This perhaps is the patent renewal after the 17 year term elapsed. Curious if any early to mid 30's Ford used torque wrenches similar to Chrysler products assembly.

Re: Another period torque wrench
Wasn't Chrysler the first to use torque values?

Re: Another period torque wrench
Keith, any chance you can copy and post the instructions? I just bought one off eekpay for $25, but no paperwork or box.
TIA, Ken
