I eliminated that question with a new pump and many flushes of vinegar, Simple Green and Thermocare. The Simple Green flush and subsequent clean water flushes revealed no more pump grease. Then I added the 50/50 and drove the car and it overheated again so i drained the system and found the oily substance which looks and feels like the clean engine oil I have in the crankcase but was not floating on top of the 50/50, it was coating the bottom of the container.
