I bought a 40 engine in nice shape and will be looking for one more. picking up over Thanksgiving in W Mass- is complete and ready to bolt in. stoked! |

To be a true bolt-in, the fan on a '41 mounts on the end of the crankshaft. 1939 Deluxe (NOT '39 Standard), 1940 Standard and Deluxe and all 1941 V8s had the fan mounted on the crankshaft. To eliminate any fan interference problems with radiator hoses and possibly the radiator itself, I would stick to one of the above-noted engines. Below is a '41 car engine...note the fan location. have no reason to doubt it is from a 40, as the fella is friends with the owner of the car. Owner hopped up the car and why this engine is available. |
