Default Is this to much bling ?

Donated all my trophies to a cub scout pack for their pinewood derby, I though I would get one last photo of them

I bet a lot of purists hate the color combo on your sport coupe, but I love it...

I like the colors.

If that was my car, the only change I'd make is to remove the stone guard.

The Cub Scout Pack is a good place. As you have most certainly found out, the trophies all have an "applied" name/award plate that can be easily pried off with a pocket or x-acto knife - and this replaced with another brass plate which the Scouts will likely do.

I still have my trophy as "Eagle Scout of the Year - 1973" from which the label has dropped. Hopefully the values instilled have stuck a little better.

I do like the Congratulatory Citation given to me at that Court of Honor - signed by none other than Richard M. Nixon.

There is some irony in that.

And the colors are fine - they're YOU.

Thanks all, I did remove the placards, I made a mounting plaque, routing a nice edge and placing a round framed photo of the car and trophies at the top. After retirement and impending move south I didn't really have the room and I did see the need to keep them. It would have been another thing to move and Lord knows I have enough junk...at least that's what the wife says When I complete the mounting plaque I will post a photo

And some people won't do to cars shows because they have the wrong nut on their bolt?

Wonderful car -- the white walls even match the white top very well.

Young innocent children about 7 or so, are many times the most outstanding consultants for choosing different color combinations & different aesthetic designs etc.

Just ask them for an opinion, listen, & begin to learn something valuable-- no preconceived concepts or opinions, no bias.

Appears many older folks begin to hate specific colors no matter how displayed.

Yo, Mike V, I saw, mounted on a wood base, two "stick" figures, running like the wind, one made from a square nut & welding rod, being pursued by one made of a slot head machine screw & the same welding rod. (Thread size & pitch not important)
The caption on the brass placque read, "NO! not without a washer"! (With the proper finish, of course!) Bill W. (Dog's still in bed!)

You should carry a set of Polaroid sunglasses for the viewing pleasure of the puristas! I betcha they would convert the car to something pretty close to original shades...

Best advice I ever heard on color: Have a woman pick it.
Without such input, everything I have that doesn't move would be white, everything that moves would be black. Betcha Henry ran in the same groove.

Women have a good eye for color, Bruce! After painting my "modern" truck black, I ran 2 thin stripes the length of the side. Pat suggested 2 colors of LILAC, it looked REALLY great!
On Vermin, the stripes are MUCH too wide! I'll have my striper run a body color in the center of it to make it 2 skinny stripes. Easier than removing it & going with one skinny stripe. I'll also run a skinny, body color stripe on my straw wheels to help "tie" in the wheels to the body color. Bill W.

Dusty, contact the Sprite soda company. That car would look perfect for a commercial for them. It looks like their perfect blend of citrus flavors.

Georgia, anywhere from Augusta to Statesboro, I leaning toward Stateboro as it keeps me far enough away from the in-laws and impromptu drop over
