Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
I was just wondering (thinkin') how many Model A owners take their Model A's out for a drive on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas..? I want to do both (weather permitting, no salt).
Like I said, just a thought. BTW, Happy Thanksgiving to All.... |

I take at least one of the Model A's out on all holidays. But then again I drive my A's as everyday transportation.

Re: Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
This is all I have to do to get the A ready for a Christmas drive, now all I have to do is figure a way to keep a pumpkin there for the Thanksgiving drive.

Restoration projects usually begin about now so the A does'nt see much of winter, roads in new england are salted by this time

That's it, I gotta get me a Christmas Wreath. Most of the pumpkins around have already frozen and deteriorated to mush by now.

Re: Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
I'll be driving to my girlfriend's house for Thanksgiving about 18 miles away, weather permitting. It should be a nice country drive taking the back roads.

Re: Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
We'll be driving a Model A to Thanksgiving dinner at our friends' home, and again on Christmas Day, but like many others here, ours are daily drivers. It getting a little nippy now for the roadster, so we'll be dusting off the Tudor Sedan and putting the roadster away for the winter.

Re: Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
Doesn't matter what the weather is, the '28 Roadster is driven on Thanksgiving Day, the week before to look at the annual Christmas lights about a mile away, Christmas Day, and on December 27, my birthday.

Re: Thanksgiving & Christmas DRIVE.!!!???
Didn't get a chance on Thanksgiving day but was out in the AA yesterday. Beautiful weather here. Maybe a little too warm for this time of year but I'm not complaining. Not too many days like this so might as well enjoy them!

MAFC of Long Island has an annual Christmas Run to The Rockefeller Center Tree.
Look for us on NBC this year December 26, 6 PM News. The NJ and Conn. clubs now join us on this fun trip to the tree and through Central Park and to the World Trade Center l Tonight there should be thirty of our Model A's participating in one of the Evening Tree Lighting Parades. |
