Default Interior Sun Visor

So here it a question for the touring crowd. What are you using for interior sun visors? Not much luck with the search function. Pictures would also be nice.
Thanks

Since my cars are open cars, ...I use my hand for an interior sun visor. It might help if you told us what bodystyle you have.

Yes, what year and model do you have? Most '31 slant window sedan family of models (no outside visor) had inside visor(s) , approx 7.5 x 11, headliner material covered and with brackets as shown. These were attached to blocks between front roof bows. The brackets are now being reproduced again but the finish quality isn't quite like the originals.

I have considered getting a pair of those visors “as seen on TV” to put in my ‘31 CCPU.

I put some in my 31 pickup. I went to a junkyard that lets you look for parts
(this was 20 yrs ago) and found a set in a foreign car that screwed into the header and they worked fine. They fold up and down and swing to the side like a modern one does.

Here's what I use. Covered a piece of cardboard. Two S-hooks make it easy to remove, in case I want to some day ( in 20 years I never have!). Bodacious, after market wide view mirror distorts perspective maybe; visor goes about 60% across wind shield. (mirror is swell)

Bob Drake Repro's has black visors and brackets for 38-47 pickups. Or buy the brackets and use 1/8" art board (like Masonite finished on both sides) painted black to a size you prefer.
Assume you have black pickup interior.
You could place blocks between the header bows in the pickup roof to receive the brackets.

Mine has a period aftermarket sun visor that works just like todays visor. I will have to take pics of it later as I am at work.

Mike

Here is my sun visor. Don't where it came from-dad I am sure got it at a swap meet. Then again it could be an old JC Wittney part for all I know.
