Default Searching for body codes

After reading another thread regarding early to mid 28 Tudors, I didn't want to hijack that thread so I decided to start one here. I was having a tough time locating my body plant code from instructions members provided here. Apparently most body codes were on the front body crossmember, but my crossmember was flat and clean with no numbers. I decided to expand my search in areas close to the crossmember without removing the floorboards. Sure enough there it is, on the side rail. Only thing I was stumped over was no letters, only numbers. So I did a search here on body codes and ended up going to MARC to the site Ford assembly plants and body codes written by Dave Sturges. From this information only Denver stamped the side rail to my understanding. So I am assuming my Tudor built in 1929 that has a tank date 1-21-29 and body code 3061 2 29 was built in Denver in Feb 1929. quoted from MARC "It only takes a few minutes to locate the body assembly plant number, if there is one to be found. Just lift the front floor mat or carpet and look on the top of the front body cross member in front of the seat riser or support or on either side rail. The only assembly plants known to stamp assembly plant number on the side rail is Denver."Can anybody tell me what those first 4 numbers stand for?

Assuming it was the same system as every other plant, the number is the number of the body built at that plant. So that was the 3061st Tudor built in that plant

After I posted that I got to wondering if they carried over from year to year or within a year. Seems unlikely they cranked out over 3000 Tudor bodies in two months in Denver. Hmmmm. May need to do some more digging. Now I am curious

So Steve Plucker's PDF has a lot of good information and also has contact information for Dave Sturges who probably has the most information.

Steve, I haven't been able to find the letters in front of the first 4 numbers. So my Tudor could have been built in Los Angeles or Denver? Do you have a picture of the body number you mentioned? I'd like to compare the shape and size of the numbers.
