A lot of cars didn't have cowl/park lights to begin with, so someone may have added them and simply tied them in to the existing wring. Find the wires to the cowl lights and follow them back to where they attach to the harness.

Thank you for the diagrams! The car is the deluxe model so I do believe the cowl lights are original but will still do as you suggested to be certain.

I have my cowl lights wired to come on with the tail lights on purpose, so they are on anytime anything is on.
