Finally got my late Sept. '31 coupe frame out of my "garage of doom" to do a little blasting. As I was checking for frame sag I came across these 5 numbers stamped on the passenger side top frame rail. They're in the same location as the original frame stamps but on the opposite side by the motor mount.
THE PLOT THICKENS

Another wierd thing is the only similar number to my serial number is the 9. My serial number has a 6 in it in the new straight number style. The 9 in the mystery number is of the old rounded style.

I'm sure the meaning to these numbers has something to do with the
da Vinci Code or the elusive question detergent or non detergent oil. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this. Now if I can get the pictures to load.........
