Default 1940 Ford Pickup Floor Replacement

Thoughts/experiences on replacing the floor in a 40 pickup. I am leaning towards the original style as opposed to the smooth Hot Rod style but would not be adverse to using the smooth style if it were easier to install. The original style are available in a one piece replacement and also a 2 piece replacement. Is there an advantage in installing one over the other? Thanks.

Abguse,
I'm not certain what the "hot rod style" floor appears like.

The stock floor, with the strengthening ribs will be stronger than a flat piece of sheet metal. It will also be easier to weld as it is less prone to warp than a flat piece of metal.

One piece is always easier to fit than two pieces in my opinion.
I say, do it once, do it correctly.

I'm with Kube, on all points. I would think the reason for the two piece is not all of us need to replace both sides. Tim

I got my originals from Mid West Ford.
Great to deal with.

Is the one piece even available anymore?
I know the two piece is still out there.
