Default High compression head

Are Tod's new iron 7:1 Winfield heads available anywhere or does anyone know when they will be?
Thanks

I will be casting some as soon as I run B heads. I have at least a dozen to cast. They are more like 6:1. The iron Thomas are 7:1.

Picked up some intakes last night when I dropped off the mold sand for the next aluminum 5 main Model A engine block. We are planning to pour the aluminum block Saturday 2/22. This week should also see iron B heads, Winfields, and a sample 3 main iron block poured as well.

It will depend on the foundry price. I would estimate in the $600-650 area.

For those spectating, here is a great post I found that tests multiple combinations of HC heads, intake modifications, and plugs. Tests include a Thomas 7:1.

http://www.rarecarrelics.com/tests-t...ord-engine.php

Bottom line seems to be that HC heads produce significantly improved performance by themselves at low RPM, up to about 1500-2000. That makes them a good investment for better performance in stop-and-go traffic. Once you get past that, other limiting factors become dominant, most prominently the intake and exhaust constraints.

Hi Tod. Do you have any picture that can be posted of both the Thomas and Winfield exterior configurations? I am curious about the looks of each one. Thanks, Steve

Winfield original chamber. I also make this with a Weiand crow foot chamber, and the Winfield crow foot. Iron or aluminum on this and the Thomas. Aluminum Thomas is only available from Snyder, unless there is a flaw, in which case I can sell discounted as a blem.
