Does the 33/34 use the flat plate with small tab? My 33 does not have this plate.

I carry a small piece of wire 4 inches long with an insulated alligator clip on each end.
In case of a failure as shown in the pictures I can jump the two terminals without taking anything apart and get running again. Make sure the clips are only on the terminal nuts.
Leave the ignition switch ON so you don't engage the lock while driving.
Pull the clip on the hot side to shut it off.
Don't forget to take both clips off when you get home.
Cheaper than getting a tow.

Thanks for the tips. And sorry about the photos- I post using my phone and the photos look the same to me- previously I posted photos that were too small!

I’ll order the assembly- but mine as is does not have the plate. I guess I can figure that out. I’ll check with little Dearborn first as I can drive there and pick it up- if not I’ll call third gen

Great tip with the alligator clip!!

Terry,OH, I just looked at the green ford book, page 87. I don't see the plate in the 33/34 parts diagram.

Does any one have a photo of how it looks together with the plate?

My 34 does not include the plate- or should I just leave the plate out? I also notice the newer plate has a L shaped right angle where mine has the square

Im guessing I could use my existing part with the square and not use the additional plate with the tab.

Thoughts?

After you sand off the contacts, spray it down.

Excuse me! The 33-34 does NOT use the flat plate. 32 & 35-36 do use the plate, I wish I could get it straight.
