Re: Fordwood kits
Very easy answer.
Fordwood wood is not nearly as well made as Classic Wood wood. Fordwood wood takes a LONG time to get. Classic wood is sold by all the good dealers and is generally available. Also.....prices on Classic Wood going up jan 1. Buy before then. Steve Becker Berts Model A Center |

Re: Fordwood kits
Bought the tack wood for the back seat of our 29 Phaeton from Fordwood. The center piece either fell off of Noah's Ark, or was part of Moses' staff. I tried kerfing this piece of wood to get it to fit the body, but gave up. Recently bought the same three pieces from Mike's. The center piece was cut in a curve that required very little effort to get it to fit the body. Plus, the two end pieces have nicely beveled edges; the Fordwood pieces do not.

Re: Fordwood kits
Had a nice chat with the owner of Classic Wood today, I'll be buying the top wood kit for my '31 Slant Window Fordor from him. The prices are going up after the first of January due to a wood bore that has infested forests that supply ash. Bob
