Looks like a good deal on a Fordor in VA
This just turned up in my Craigslist alerts.
https://roanoke.craigslist.org/cto/d...086389386.html Devil will be in the details, but if the surface rust didn't bother you, $7500 for a running Fordor with 12V conversion and a near-complete spare engine is worth a look. |

Extra engine is the key here. Could it have a SCAT, Stipe, v8 clutch, inserts, etc, etc, and be worth $5000+???

Re: Looks like a good deal on a Fordor in VA
I have seen this guy sell a few over the last couple years, not sure if he is buying and reselling after fixing them up some. I used to live near there but never heard of anyone with a lot of model A's sitting around. Looks like a decent car and price, he always has good prices. He had a 28 AR roadster pickup a while back. It probably won't be there long based on previous sales.

Yeah, based on the lack of details in the ad it does seem to be someone buying and reselling. Definitely would need to be personally inspected, but it could be a great starter car for someone getting into the hobby.

I'd say his price isn't out of line for all of that. Solid looking car. I bet it sells soon. Nice. He definitely has it priced to sell not trying to waste people's time. Or his

I think it has 28-29 wheels on it. Probably an early 30 ha ha.

I wish I had more room in the car “stable.” I think I would risk trying to buy it, but I don’t have any room for it. :-(

You are looking at it all wrong, that is your daily driver, you don't need any space as it sits in the driveway!

Re: Looks like a good deal on a Fordor in VA
Body looks nice and solid. Price is right. If I had the room I'd go get it. My issue is 3 Model Ts just showed up along with a 60' container of parts.

Re: Looks like a good deal on a Fordor in VA
It has the side arm rests AND the middle arm rest in the rear, my late '31 slant window has the same.
Like most of you out there...if I had the room for one more I'd go look at it with cash in hand. I like that spare motor package

Looks like a good car to mess with, however not all that looks well ends well. I think it could deserve a look. I would like to but I'm a long way from there.
