29 roadster windshield rubber
I have windshield frame thats round tube, good glass and all, but needs rubber replaced at bottom . My frame does not come apart but has the gap open at bottom for rubber. I have the new rubber but would like to know if all you do is pull the old out and slide the new in. thanks for any and all feedback. modelAtony Lafayette,la

Re: 29 roadster windshield rubber
Do it just like you said, there is a hole at one end of the slot, start and stop there.

Re: 29 roadster windshield rubber
Appsrently you have a replacement frame ? An original would come apart by removing the 2 small screws on both sides at the top of the side frames and tapping out the top of frame.
When you replace the rubber at the bottom cut it about 1/4 " long because when installing it is easy to strech the rubber and it will creep back leaving a gap on either side at the bottom. Ron |
