Default 6V to 12V converter

Hello all,

I just bought this so I could hook up some strobing LED lights someday to the rear of my AA to be seen.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Says 5v-11V input and steps it up to 12V. Mine under light load was 12.24V with 7.2V input, with 6V input it dropped to 12.21V output. Mounting ear holes are 2 5/8" apart so relatively small with nice 16GA wires coming out of it.

Theres a 4A max output and a larger 10A max output with aluminum heatsink - price sure beats what the catalogs want for these...

Thought I would spread the word

Ebay also has them for about 5 bucks less but long shipping times.

Those low cost ones won't work with a cb radio. The grounding of the antenna messes things up. Should power lights OK.

I used one from eBay to run the 12v LEDs that I used for turn signals. It has worked great for over a year. I found the LEDs on eBay also .

yea they are $10 on ebay with free shipping but 3-4 weeks from china...

I wonder if you ground the antenna to the 12V side ground wire and isolate the bracket from the cars 6v ground system the CB would work.
