Default Video - Getting Rid of Mice

A while back there was a video on a thread about getting rid of mice. It was a bucket contraption. Been looking for it but cannot find it. Anyone have a lead ?

Thanks

I believe it was posted by V8 Coopman. I recall seeing it also. Don't remember which thread it was in. Perhaps he'll chime in and repost it. I think it was called "walk the plank".

It's in this thread. You can make one real easy. Deuce Roadster has one and it works.

Just search YOUTUBE for 'mouse trap' to see them in action.

I saw one somewhere that looked like a toilet seat on a five gallon pail. Have to look for it.

Here we go. This is on eBay but the same thing is also on Amazon. (It's kind of sad that the mice die of drowning but it doesn't have to be emptied with each capture.)

Here is one I recently bought from the tried and true Victor traps company. It is an electrocution device. It uses 4 AA batteries. You put a little peanut butter in the inside of it, the mouse goes in, takes that last wrong step - and gets zapped. Works great, isn't as messy as other traps and you cat won't step on it (or your kids, etc).

It costs about $30 (which is a bit high), but it also has a great feature. The darn thing communicates over WiFi to my iPhone and lets me know when it has a "Kill". Victor has a little app that you install - even keeps track of kills and battery life, etc..

I was gone from home for over a month - just returned about 2 weeks ago. Of course I found evidence of a mouse (and when there is one, there is always more). I've used this trap three times this week - we will see how many more there are. The other thing is that this would be a good trap to LEAVE inside our old cars . . . especially during Winter storage.

Here is a pic of the last guy to try it - with the lid open - normally it is closed (got him last night!):

For a while my twelve year old son was captivated by Utube videos evaluating various mouse traps. He got me into it too. There are dozens of them on Utube. Some amazing contraptions have been invented in the quest for a better mouse trap. Maybe its just the quest for a more interesting contraption.
