Default This looks interesting!

Has anyone used this distributor on a flathead?? It would be helpful to adjust for boost, cruise etc. with a supercharged engine.

What if it fails when you are on the road? Where would you get parts or help to fix it.

C'mon, it's fully electronic... What could possibly go wrong?

I checked the ad out. These appear to be OHV only; they have no offering for flatheads of any kind. The prices for the ones I looked at seemed to run in the upper 500 dollar range.

Now, if I could just get by their looks........

Couldn't he buy the Chevy one and turn it down to fit a flathead?

Probably, but now you're pushing $1000 (with the freight involved) for a flathead distributor.

I don't see any reason that you couldn't fit one into a crab distributor. If they are direction sensitive you would use the Ford OHV plate. (anti-clockwise).
Also you could fit one in a factory 8BA distributor if the small diameter Chev one will fit. (clockwise)

I like the idea that you can see what your motor is doing and it's programmability.
I could always add a boost timing module, but I'd like to see the real time ignition timing.
