I remember those Full Service Gasoline Stations from way back. You would pull in and run over the hose and the bell would go off. Then three uniformed servicemen would run out and start working on your car--gas, oil check, tires and then they would wash the windows. They had little change dispensers on their belts and the pumps would make a "ding" sound for every gallon. My dad's Buick Electra 225 had a 26 gallon tank. The gas station people working large chains would give you free maps, tire gauges, pens, toys, etc. And the gasoline smelled like gasoline.

Good memories there of days gone by, thanks. My first new car was a '70 Nova SS and I bought my Sunoco 260 and Camel cigarettes from a local station. In a time when business people valued their customers I was there around Christmas time and the owner gave me a carton of Camels; nowadays gas station cashiers hardly even look up at you. More money, more stuff, but are we really better off?

The picture where they are servicing the car you can still see pictures like that now in the big city's Only difference instead of putting gas in they are syphoning it out & steeling the tires not checking the air pressure in them, and the guys wiping the car down would now be Swiping parts off the car.
But other then that SAME ~ SAME :::::::::::::: LOL
