While talking about Sun machines,I have a older one that requires a 6 volt battery that I would like to eliminate, I have a substitute dwell and rpm that has a high resulation ,makes it easy to read,so I don’t use the sun electronics, just need a battery eliminator, any ideas what I can use short of spending a fortune for one ?.

Don, if you'll will it to me I'll bring up a variable DC power supply and even mount it up for ya! haha

Or, let me see what I've got. I think I only gave $40 for this regulated and filtered power supply. It surely wouldn't take very many amps being it normally has a battery to power it. this would just plug right into your 110v....besides I'd like to know more about how to time/setup one of these....

Some may suggest a "wall-wart" (small black boxes you plug into your wall) but they are just transformers, they are not "clean" DC power.
