Gas tank on top of frame or in between on 36
I have tank on top of frame but think it should go between rails ,,,,I can’t get body to sit down on frame like it should.....??????

I have had a stock '35 and '36 .The tank sits on top .

The 1" flange that sticks out on the side of the tank
sits on the top of the upper part of the frame. It is tuff to get the tank on or off the top of the frame. I find on most cars or trucks the passenger side of the tank comes down first. It must be pried down with a two X four and a couple very large screw drivers, G.M.
