I have a truck very similar to yours, serial 537302. but I believe mine was meant for highway department work. I have a snogo #. But it also has military blackout lights etc.

One thing I have seen was a Marmon Herrington sales flyer for 1942-43 showing 4x4 fords with dump box, but also have grader blades mounted on the belly of the truck. Who knows..

My truck has square gauge cluster on RH , but is LH drive.

I can take a pic of my dash knobs if you are still in need. Pm me

Can you through some light on this.

trying to get rid of non standard holes in firewall, I suspect these are for a heater and if so they can stay even though I am not fitting one yet , but the one above should it go or stay just trying to put back to spec .

I am guessing there will be extra holes for other options not used on every truck , up to now I am welding up all that look amature and serve no purpose and leaving the ones that look factory pressed .

Sceptre I looked at pictures of your truck and she looks similar spec I even have holes in roof where you have the spot lamps though my rear dump is repo and does not tip yet !
If it helps I have seen a Snogo and they have control levers on what would be the position of your steering wheel like three big gear shift lever coming up from floor and the driving position on the left ,can not think why you wheel is on the right . don't what I have done with the pics .

By all means send us some photo's all together they make up a idea what my truck should be like she is in a state .

Its hard being the only Ford in town .

So your firewall holes, I have them on both sides of the truck. I do have the heater etc... still mounted on the driver side. Don't forget that just about everything on these trucks as far as I can tell was made to be either RH or LH drive. So don't be surprised if you see the same holes, bolt patterns etc on both sides.

If you have the holes in top of the cab I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it has a Snogo # which would have been on the War Dept Plate.

On my truck all of the plates are mounted above the windshield in the cab. I have a few marmon herrington plates and a war department plate.

I also have a Woods Hydraulic plate on the frame behind the passenger side of the cab.
These are the buys that made the ram etc.. for the dump box.

back in the early '70's there were 2 of these things at a gas station in NJ, both equipped with huge snow blowers on the front. The headlight openings behind the blowers were neatly welded up rather that just unused, so probably the whole package was original...I was guessing something like airfield use.

I'll have to get a pic of the woods tag this weekend. The one shot I took is to blurry to be useful.

Probably had 2 other plates for Marmon Herrington. 1 would have been the shift pattern.
