31 radiator removable bottom
Dose anyone know when Ford made the 31 radiator shell with both the top and bottom removable sections? I thought only the top section was removable. thanks, Ed S.

Re: 31 radiator removable bottom
The top/bottom removable inserts are unique to all 31's as I understand it.

Re: 31 radiator removable bottom
I used to have an NOS 31 grill shell. The bottom section was part of the shell. Top was removable.

Re: 31 radiator removable bottom
There were 2 types of 31 shells produced.
Ed wants to know if there is a time difference between them. One type the upper and lower panels are inserts. The lower section has a spot welded thin trim. The other style has the upper panel inserted and the whole lower panel is spot welded in place. I do not know the reason or the timeline. |

They made them both ways, top and bottom and top only.
