Default 34 ford firewall data plates

I have a 1934 Fod original car (Original Paint). I would like to replace the two Data Plates located on passenger side of Firewall. I purchased two and found that the holes do not line up with holes in firewall. DOES ANYONE know where I can get the correct ones. THANKS ! Stan

Stan, as far as I know there was only one data plate on 34 firewall. Some one may chime in with better info. Ken

My '33 has two data plates:

1) Patent Data Plate
2) Body Number Plate

If it is a car built in the U.S. it would have a patent plate on the vertical surface of the right side of the firewall and depending on the body type. a much smaller body number plate on the sloped firewall surface above the patent plate.

Stan,

Sorry, but I can't recommend a sources for the two plates that you seek. But, beware that not all of the many versions of the pre-WWII patent plates have been reproduced and that what may be available isn't correct for your car even if the holes line up. In some model years, there is an early version and a late version and only a very limited number of them were the same from one model year to the next, despite what some sellers advertise.
