Re: lost my best friend today
Stan so sorry for your loss. I know of your loss I am 85 and I lost my wife two years ago this month we were married over 50 years. she was very interested in Ford Vehicles and knew what was going on, I find things are not the same, I am living by myself and when you go to car club events you are there by your self and other guys have there wives so I do not go far these days. I am lucky I do have two sons who are very interested in Ford Vehicles who keep an eye on me. I do have a good workshop and I do have car projects which are keeping me going and I try and help others.

Re: lost my best friend today
I am very sorry Stan and to all of you who have lost your partner. I've lost both parents and watched my mother deal with my dad being gone. She's waiting for you just out of sight, all of you in that other dimension. One thing you fellows have done by sharing your story is make the rest of us who still have our partner appreciate the time we have with them. Thank you for that and I pray you (all of you) can find peace and live to the fullest.

So sorry Stan, but you are correct, life is precious. Don't worry she'll still keep an eye on you... Pete/Ct.

My condolences Stan. Unfortunately the price we pay for loving is the pain of loss and the more we love the higher the price . The way you feel is a tribute to her , you and your relationship . Hang in there -Karl

Very sorry to hear of your loss. It's a reminder that life is a gift and can change very quickly on us. We all take it for granted. But time is flashing by.
Again, so sorry. Hang in there. |

Re: lost my best friend today
Stan, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I can't imagine how I would handle loosing my wife of 53 years, or any of my immediate family for that matter.
I'd suggest keeping yourself active on your car, or on your other projects, as a way to keep your mind active on other issues. Take care.

Re: lost my best friend today
My wife died about 9 years ago (35 years). It Does not get any better but dont let it get any worse. A hard part to get used to is having no Supervision. One day at a time.
