What's the strangest thing you've found in your radiator?
Pulled my radiator out for repairs and in the course of inspecting the top tank through the filler tube, found this little fella! What the heck??
I'm sure there's a line in there like: Q. "Escargo(t)-ing OK?" A. "No, he says it's a bit hot!" |

Re: What's the strangest thing you've found in your radiator?
Not in my radiator, but my oil pan had a handfull of small gravel and sticks, biggest stick was the size of 3/4 of a pencil. Oh, and a lot of bugs. One suggested possible offering from a child...

Does a small snake (about 15") in the Clutch Housing qualify. Unfortunately it died of shovel fever soon after. Like my Mum used to say "if they aren't paying rent, evict them"

Re: What's the strangest thing you've found in your radiator?
Not in the radiator but in the sediment bowl of a Model T gas tank I opened the drain petcock in the bottom of the sediment bowl and a wooden sulfur matchstick came out.
What idiot checks his gas with a matchstick? (true story)

Gravel in my gas tank that my young kids put in years ago. They use to play in the old rig when it was stored for many years in our barn before I restored it.

Re: What's the strangest thing you've found in your radiator?
When I pulled my sport coupe's engine apart for rebuilding, found a 14" long piece of steel wire bent into a "V" inside the water jacket of the head.
