Is spring eye to spring eye the same as hub face to hub face? I don't see that....

My mistake! I read coopman's list wrong. The spring eye dimension was on the far right and hub face was on the left. Now I see it. I have swapped out a lot of axles, including spending last weekend swapping the complete rear axle in my 92 f350 cab and chassis dually with one from a wrecking yard. You can't believe how few guys on the phone knew anything about axle widths between the dually cc and the super wide dually pickup, or the srw and drw versions. Sheesh. Hands are healed, diesel is awful loud in the cab, And Coopman, I apologize for doubting the info on your list.

Question has already been answered, so this is a bit late, but believe these may be pages you were referring to. (not easy to read).

Not sure why, but the StreetRodder article measurements are slightly different from the ones V8Coopman posted. Would guess it has to do with how you take the measurements. Here are the SR numbers if you can't read the chart in the scan.

The numbers are year(s)/Backing Plate Width/Outside Width/Spring Hanger Width

35-36 / 51.25 / 59.25 / 48.50
37-40 / 51.25 / 59.25 / 48.50
41 / 51.25 / 59.25 / 46.75
42-48 / 53.00 /61.00 / 46.75

Here's the Street Rodder article, full size. For future reference, it's posted on my V8 Club RG's website.
