Default Best early V8 to buy

This summer I plan to add another Ford to my collection , I have a nice 32 five window 1953 built hot rod and a 1939 Deluxe Coupe with a 53 Olds in it and a 32 highboy roadster . Everyone says early Fords are declining in values but I don't care I like them . Will buy a 32-36 Ford thinking 3 window or roadster , what one should I lean towards ?

In my opinion, you can beat a '35 roadster.

If I were in your shoes, I would look for a 33 roadster.

Buy a nice 35 or 36 3 window Model 48-720 since you don't have one.
Just add hydraulic brakes.
31513 were produced.

I like the 36 3 window or a 34 3 window. Both are pricey for nice ones. I've had open cars and they were fun when I was a lot younger, but now I like to roll up the windows on a cold or rainy day.

Maybe think about a fat fender. My favorite (obviously) is the early model year '41 business coupe with the narrow door (no back seat) and without the extra (and unattractive) chrome of the late model year. Slick looking; more roomy inside; has the hydraulic brakes. And generally priced lower that other years of comparable quality.

I don't see a problem here! ! ??Buy one of each. You won't be sorry. A bit lighter in the wallet but the grin on your face will be ear to ear.

But I’m a little biased.

I think your production numbers were for the 35 three window coupe. The 36 three window coupe was just a little above 21,000.
So the 36 is a little rarer.

Are you sure that a brand new fifty thousand dollar pickup truck isn't more practical? Me neither. I like the 1935 best.

IMHO the best value for money - 38 std or deluxe coupe.
Google some examples in black.

Don't forget these guys, cut that number in half or less. any 32-36 3w would be alright. Not sure if you'd make money, but that's okay I guess. Like land, they are not making anymore. But everyone wants land.

Simple... Step up and unload a big pile of dollar bills.

One of my favorite car show trophies is the "Two Doors Too Many" award.

I'm going to depart a little here. In 20-30 yrs from now, the only old cars that might be allowed on the road will be grandfathered originalish cars. Maybe not....

Most rat rods will be scrapped anyways in that time frame.

Most rat rods look to already be scrapped.

That looks like in flight tuning!
I did that once with a 31 Roadster trying to find a vacuum leak!

I'm thinking his throttle broke and he wanted to finish! Guess it's like drag racing with a pumpkin under your lap. Different time.

I do run a full time in-car vacuum gauge in my 36 just for fun.
