Default fuel pressure?

What is the best fuel pressure? I seem to have too much, blowing by valve. I am currently running two 94's and not happy me or the enging.
Are 97's better, if so or not who is the best rebuilder? Help.

If you are running an electric fuel pump you need to install a fuel pressure regulator, I'd set it at 2.5 lbs., that what I use on my single as well as multiple carb set ups with 94's.

1 1/2 lbs is really all you need unless you've got a rubber tipped float valve that you need to change out anyway.

1 1/2 to 2 # i would use. Also besides the rubber tipped inlet needle deep six the rubber accel. pump and the 7.5 power valve. All components of China made cheap kits. OMO. ken ct.

Low fuel pressure makes the vapor lock with this new gas worse. 3 1/2 lbs helps this problem. Also you will find 3 1/2 lbs drops as the fuel pump get hot. At 1 1/2 lbs cold in 85 plus temperatures you will have problems. Put a gauge in the line to the carb and you will see what happens. Keep the pressure up and with Bob Shewman's 1/2"vented spacer it will help the problem. G.M.
