Default Loose shock arm

The right rear shock arm continues to be loose even tho I have tightened the securing bolt. I'm thinking that I can loosen the bolt and slip a rod bearings him in the gap and snug things up without having to remove the wheel and then the shock assembly.

If you don't have another shock arm. I have seen where a die grinder was used to remove a little material at the slot. You have to remove the bolt first.

I shimmed 3 of the 4 sides of the shock's stud using thin shims for the rod bearings. It is tight now

Thanks. I'll watch my work and see if the shims remain in place

The steering drag link, the shock arms and rear brake arms are all of the same design, and all need occasional tightening.

Two short trips and the shims are still in place.
