34 mock up roadster top
I'm open to suggestions on the looks of the top. NOOOO I will be using a tan top material not the bags or tape.
Santa made a pass by Desert Lakes & dropped off some top bows & irons cause I wuz an excellent boy this year & will be dropping of a mail slot rear window on the next pass. |

Looks great. I hope you are not too tall for the car. Ask me how I know.

Re: 34 mock up roadster top
Hi there, That top line looks good but would appear to be somewhat lower in height towards the rear than an original top would be. Regards, Kevin.

Re: 34 mock up roadster top
...from what I can see, the height and look of your top is great. I'm a resto-rod guy and have a complete stock top assembly, including ws posts, ws, etc. but its just too tall to look right on a rod. In my opinion, if someone would make a complete 2" chopped folding top assembly with wood bows, ss irons and ready to bolt on to exactly replace the stock top, there would be a big demand....

Carl thanks to you also, check out superior car parts inc. for a 2" top. Mine has a 2" chop but I'm not sure what the top is as it is an older one I bought(thanks to oldrodslive) however it looks like it has never been installed. I say that as there are no staple marks or anything on the bows,in fact they do not even have a finish on them & the irons are stainless. |
