Late flywheel on a 38
Don’t have a early flywheel but have a 49-53,can I use this on a 38 21 stud??

not impossible ---but not easy i think, when I put a 49 merc in a 46 big truck I used the truck flywheel, had to cut some off the back so it didn't hit the block, and I had to make a special starter drive to move the gear deeper into the flywheel---I modified a Citroen drive(a stock Ford drive fits a citroen traction)

There's got to be someone that would donate a lousy early flywheel for your project. You're gonna cuss excessively when you realize that newer flywheel ain't workin'-out so good and the engine needs to come back out again. DD

If you lived near me I would give you one. Shipping cost would exceed the value. I am sure you can find one close by where you live. Don't use the later one, maybe trade it for the right one.
