I noticed Mac's has a roll of woven material for the shoes but they say truck for that rather than passenger.
I should be asking Mac;s rather than bothering you good guys.
But I figure you guys will know more than macs...sometimes they just sell stuff without and idea of how to use it.
In their catalog they still have not corrected the length of the 1933 model b car.

I'm pretty sure this would be what you want, Frank.

The Mac's listing is for a complete set of eight linings for all four wheels (two per wheel).

I would imagine the drums would be re-used.

Got it Frank? The set sold by Macs will do the whole car. It's just the linings and rivets, you reline your existing shoes.

Mart.
Thanks a million. I usually purchase the parts and then moll over for a while what I will have to do with them. I will try out my first run of the car when my license plate arrive next week, I hope. From, backing the car out of the garage and back into the garage, I know that I have some brakes at least. The c ar has been starting and running fine each day.
There is no extra engine noise from the bronze timing gear, I'm Glad.
The engine sounds great, to me at least. No different from when it had the fiber timing gear. My son said, the engine sounds like a v8???
I will let you know how the first run goes. I will take some photos. and post then on here.

Successfully completed First RUN! Car drove good, rattled a bit..old car!
Shifted good. Brakes ok. Took wife with me for first run...She liked it but said it was bumpy. Steering hard... like a 1966 corvette I drove once? I guess the covette had m no power steering also? Thanks everyone for your help! Will add some pictures later.

Great job Frank. You did well considering you had lots of advice from many sources. That's what great about this site, everyone wants to help. I owned a Model A Sedan for many years which had mechanical brakes which would stop on a dime. I used the Les Andrews Model A book as guidance. Arcing the shoes to the drum makes all the difference in the world. I did them by hand since they outlawed the use of arcing machines. Hang in there and keep learning first hand.
