Default 28-29 Radiator ?

Have a pretty rough shape radiator but top and bottom tanks are good. Would it be best to just cut the tanks off and scrap the core ?

My rad is iffy and I will need to decide what I'm going to do also.
Not sure where you are but a re core A rad here is in the neighbourhood of $1000. + 15% tax.
A new one (from US) is roughly the same price after taxes (both state and provincial) exchange rate and shipping!

A good radiator shop should be able to re-core your radiator using your upper and lower tanks as well as side straps. If you don't want to go that route, you should be able to sell it to someone that wants to rebuild an original round tube using your good parts.

In my area, radiator shops only sell new radiators. Radiator repair has sadly become a thing of the past here.
