love it or hate it
I needed some seat covers for my barn find roadster. And while the purist may not agree with the style, my talented niece sewed these up for me. We still have a little fitting to do on them. I like the vintage look. Some day maybe the car will get a lebarron bonney interior, but for now these should do.

Thanks for the comments....even the one about the whitewalls......I still haven't made up my mind whether I like them or not. She is talented. First attempt at upholstery.

Re: love it or hate it
That looks great and the car looks fine just as it sets. It looks like it has some nice metal all around.
Does your niece make house calls for Studebaker seats? |

Re: love it or hate it
Thanks Tom....the metal is real nice. About the house call...probably not......she would probably think a Studebaker was some type of vegetable.

Re: love it or hate it
I think the seats look great, and a family job is the most fun. What no one else noticed is how nicely the top panel of the seats balances with the GREAT LOOKING WHITEWALLS!!!

Re: love it or hate it
They look good! Did she use a regular sewing machine or have access to a heavier model? Is your light switch upside down

Re: love it or hate it
She used an old 1940s sewing machine....she has several but said that this particular machine will sew anything....it was very small. My light switch is not hooked up yet....still on the to do list.

Re: love it or hate it
You misunderstand, most purists will have no problem with what you have done. The line "Some day maybe the car will get a lebarron bonney interior, but for now these should do." says it all. It a matter of if time and money were no object I would rather it be correct as opposed to what the Rodders do.
I like it and yes it does look good!

Re: love it or hate it
You know it's a family thing... just think back when she was little and you had no idea that some day she would give her talent and love to you this way. I love your car and the seat cover. I would be proud that she did this for you! I would not change a thing! drive it and enjoy. I'm sure others that are going to see it would agree. The look is right on. Do not touch a thing!
