Default 29 handbrake clevis

What is original size of the handbrake clevis /threaded brake rod that comes off the cross shaft to rear wheels?

Mine seem to screw on very loosely and actually skipped the thread when handbrake pulled on.

Is this just worn out or is there some undersize or over size parts possible?

The clevis's look new repo and the rods are original.

A-21700 is the check nut (clevis lock nut) for the parking brake, and according to the PARTS PRICE LIST the size is 5/16-24.

If the check nut is left off or loose then the clevis could vibrate on the rod and wear the threads.
