Distibutor vendor
Im still fairly new here
Anyone use these folks: ClassicParts4Cars.com They state: We can retrofit 1941 shaft, cam, weights, and brake retard disc into a 1932 to 1940 stock aluminum distributor housing. This results in a 100% stock appearance outside and better performance inside. Here’s the difference: 1933-1936 distributors have 16 degrees advance at 3000 engine rpm 1937-1940 distributors have 16 degrees advance at 1900 engine rpm 1941-1948 distributors have 22 degrees advance at 1200 engine rpm This worth while? |

Re: Distibutor vendor
Beats me on their work.
However we build a conversion called the 11A Helmet that uses a 11A cam, small point cam with new napa heavy duty individual contacts and breaker plate as well as the 11 A advance unit for a full 22 degrees @ 2500 rpm. The small cam point set allows the engine to run upward of 5000 plus rpm and perform very well. Pricing varys somewhat based on side caps and plastics needs... Base with no caps, covers or coil runs $250 tested and ready to run..... |

Re: Distibutor vendor
I've got a Bubba's dissy, and when it arrived it looked too good to put it on an engine. I overcame my urge to put it in a glass display case and just stare at it.

Re: Distibutor vendor
I just got the 11A Helmet Bubba talks about above - and it's a remarkable improvement.
Thanks Again Bubba! Andy |
